Setup your own muti-modal communication assessments

This free site is intended for use by Speech Therapists (and other registered Healthcare professionals).

In order to use it as a therapist, you'll need a laptop or PC that has speakers and a microphone (if you're a client, you only need speakers).

Currently, it allows a picture to be presented to a client, which is followed by an audible marker so that a therapist can follow the responses of their client over the phone. It also allows the therapist to follow up the presentation of the visual cue with auditory and textual prompts to aid retrieval of the target word or sentence.

It follows the format of other Communication Assessments such as the Boston Naming Test (1983, Kaplan, E. Goodglass, H. Weintraub, S.). It's hoped that with sufficent interest it will be developed to allow multi-modal inputs and outputs from the client in the form of recorded speech and typing.
